Pulsión de Dulzura - obra de teatro (V London Festival of Queer Spanish Culture)

  • The Divine 33-35 Stoke Newington Road London, England, N16 8BJ United Kingdom (map)

Drive for Sweetness with Sara Torres, Carmen Rojas, Karelis Zambrano, and Malena Casado Drive for Sweetness is a play written by Sara Torres and Carmen Rojas, and performed by the two writers along with Karelis Zabrano and Malena Casado.

The play is a retelling of Anne Dufourmantelle's essay "The Power of Sweetness," which challenges the history of philosophy that distrusts emotions. "Drive for Sweetness" materializes Dufourmantelle's concept, exploring the ways in which sweetness dis-articulates the dualistic heritage, allowing us to imagine another relationship between body, desire, survival, and language.
