COMPACT ART - Francis Bacon in 1990s Madrid
LIVE Podcast
In "Creative Passions," Juanra Sanz and Bernardo Pajares explore Francis Bacon's love life as a key aspect of understanding his work. The chapter portrays the artist as a "night hunter," whose aggressive love, intense attachments, and destructive relationships were inseparable from his creativity. Through lovers who were also models, the book delves into how these—often turbulent—passions fueled his disturbing painting. This intimate approach, narrated in a dialogue format like his podcast, allows us to get closer to Bacon as a person, beyond the myth of the tormented creator.
