Discover Young Hackney turns 18 in 2025 - and you're invited to the party!
This August, we're celebrating with a specially curated programme of free creative workshops and courses in theatre, music, film, woodwork, and design. Each activity is designed to help 15–26 year olds who live, work or study in Hackney take their first steps toward a career in the arts.
Whether you want to develop a play, drop a track, or work on film sets - it all starts here, with DYH 2025!
The initiative aims to develop the creative skills of 15-26 year-olds including those with SEND and provide routes into the cultural and creative industries. It also aims to develop creativity in young people and break down social and practical barriers in the arts.
In addition, the programme raises the profile of cultural organisations that run high-quality activities for young people in Hackney.
