Black History Season 2023
Hackney Council celebrate Black History Season from October - November starting with the raising of Hackney’s own Black History Flag above the Town Hall. A programme of events from our Libraries, Archives, Museum has now been announced and includes a series of community run events from our Black History small grants programme.

Black British History – The story of the African diaspora is a film that gives us an insight into some of the history, political landscape and lived experience of Black British people in the UK. An enlightening film made by Mouth That Roars film company - films for young people by young people!
