Dyke & Trans Woodshop: Come Build, Learn, & Create!
Booters is teaming up with The Woodshop of Recycled Delights to deliver a Dyke & Trans Woodworking Class! This will be a beginner-friendly session focusing on queer people who are often left out of woodworking spaces: dykes and trans people, inclusive of bisexual, asexual, nonbinary and gender-nonconforming identities. We'll learn the skills needed to design our own woodworking projects from reclaimed materials. Each participant will come away with their own custom toolbox that doubles as a picnic basket/ beer holder! There'll also be a chance to varnish your toolbox, leave it to dry overnight and then collect it (or decorate it further) on Wednesday the 8th - International Lesbian Day!
