Nature is Queer! (Allen's Community Garden)

  • Allen's Community Garden Bethune Road London, England, N16 5BD United Kingdom (map)

Come to Allen's Community Garden in Stoke Newington for a special day of workshops to mark Transgender Awareness Week.

Explore poems about and around nature from a queer perspective, get inspired by the garden and create Nakshi Katha embroidery or craft a talisman which evokes something of significance to the maker, be it protection, queer celebration, solidarity or other things held. Free spaces on all of the workshops. We will also be providing herbal teas and quiet space for reflection throughout the day.

Date and Time: Saturday November 15, 11am-6pm

Address: Allen's Community Garden, Bethune Road, London, England, N16 5BD

Access Information: Allen's Community Garden has no steps but is uneven and can be slippery in wet weather. The toilet is accessible by a ramp that has unfortunately broken, so includes a slope upwards and downwards. The main paths are wheelchair accessible but the spaces between beds can be too narrow at points for a wheelchair to pass.

Ticket price: 3 free workshops (one of the workshops has five free spaces for trans/non-binary people and five paid places)

Booking Link: You can book your tickets HERE, this event is for people 18+
