Discover Young Hackney Archive
Discover Young Hackney is a annual grants programme that brings art and culture to young people in Hackney. The initiative aims to develop the creative skills of 13- 19-year-olds (up to 25 with SEND) and provide routes into the cultural and creative industries. The programme also raises the profile of cultural organisations that run high-quality activities for young people in Hackney.

Alter Ego
Alter Ego is an annual talent contest for young people aged 13-19 in Hackney hosted at the Hackney Empire. For several years it also served as the launch of the Discover Young Hackney grants scheme.
Each year, a group of talented young people showcase spectacular performances, including dancing, singing, rapping and spoken word. This talent show has been a launchpad for many young talents in Hackney and is highly anticipated all year round.
