In collaboration with artist Donald Waugh, HCEO will be holding intergenerational workshops to create a set of materials including a film, series of portraits and a sculpture that explore uprooting and planting of new seeds, as experienced by the men of the Windrush Generation. We explore these themes via the journey of the Grip (suitcase) carried by men and women on their voyage to the UK, which became a symbol for Windrush.
