A five-day popup art installation! DAY 2!
Hosted by Paula Varjack and Erin Guan The Hypeshop is an installation, open studio and programme of events exploring the strange, funny and surprisingly emotional world of hype objects and collectible culture. Come by and tell us your obsessions, bring us collectibles and help us answer Why are grown adults buying toys?
DAY 2: WEDNESDAY
10am - 1pm: drop in to see the installation, meet us and chat!
2pm - 6pm: SHOW US YOUR STUFF. What do you collect? What did you panic-buy? What object do you own that you absolutely can’t explain?
Open drop-in afternoon for visitors to share stories, photographs and images of their own collections and collectable objects to be displayed in the Hypeshop. Bring a photo of the object, or bring the object to be photographed and displayed. Together, we will build a collective archive of the things we’ve treasured, and obsessed over, and the reasons why.
