Bringing together pioneering voices from Hackney’s sound system history and a new generation of young creatives.
The Sound System Collective Art of Hackney (SSCAH) - a newly formed community partnership between Metro Glory sound system, R Consultancy, Afrikan Heritage Writers, Windrush19, and the Hackney Archives - invite you to attend a public panel discussion on Hackney’s Soundsystem culture.
The event will feature some of Hackney’s most influential sound system pioneers sharing untold stories, lived experiences, and reflections on the evolution of sound system culture from the 1980s and 1990s. Following the panel, young participants will take part in a facilitated creative writing workshop led by members of The Afrikan Heritage Writers.
