London Borough of Hackney is delighted to unveil the plaque for C.L.R. James .
Join us for an inspirational event and celebration.
We are proud to launch this year's Black History Season with a day of events and community engagement.
The launch will begin with the unveiling of the CLR James Plaque, ceremonially opened by One Drum. Followed by an afternoon featuring special guests, including Juliet Coley, CLR James Steering Group member Ngoma Bishop and storyteller, cultural historian, and writer Sandra A. Agard.
Attendees will have the opportunity to see the plaque up close before it is permanently installed outside the Dalston CLR James Library.
