South Asian Heritage Month runs every year from 18 July through to 17 August. It’s a time to commemorate, mark and celebrate South Asian cultures, histories and communities, which have made and continue to make invaluable contributions to life in Hackney as well as around the UK and the rest of the world.
Hackney Libraries have a programme of free events running throughout South Asian Heritage Month 2025, with family workshops and online author talks. All of our events and activities for this month are listed below — browse through them and visit your local library or sign up online to take part.
