If Mi Nuh Laugh Mi Cry! Festival Launch Event

Join us at C.L.R. James Library and Hackney Archives on Thur 4th April, 5 - 7.30pm for the If Mi Nuh Laugh Mi Cry! Festival launch event. With just one month until the festival, this is a chance to come and find out all about the festival's programme of events and attend the opening of two of the festival's exhibitions.

C.L.R. James Library: Education Room (2nd Floor) 


The festival team will be on site sharing information about the workshops, talks, films and exciting events to come as well as giving an insight into how we put together the exhibitions. You'll be able to try your hand at storyboarding with cartoonist Danny F and access our free workshop resources; adding to the Hackney Wall of Friendship and the Hackney Family Tree.

A chance to see Danny F.'s piece 'Anansi Lives! at C.L.R. James Library' in all its glory, as well cartoons by people who attended our intergenerational Anansi Lives! workshop series. 


We Remember HCDA


Hackney Archives (2nd Floor)


An exhibition of archival materials celebrating the work and legacy of Hackney Community Defence Association and community resistance in the borough. 


Drop in if you're interested in volunteering, want to meet others who are a part of the festival programme or find out more about what's in store.


Refreshments provided. 


Free and all ages welcome. 


The event is accessible via the venue's lifts.
