Join us at Homerton Library for Hackney Writes, our bi-annual writing showcase to hear from a wonderful line up of emerging and established writers!
We host eight writing groups across our libraries, all completely free to join! For the second time, we will be bringing our writing groups together to share their work as part of the C.L.R James Festival, celebrating legacy and activism in Hackney.
We’ll be hearing from:
Lisa Ogun’ and the Black Women Writers Group at Shoreditch Library
Jack Houston and Hackney Libraries Online Poetry Group
Hackney Central Library Writing Group
Jonathan Fortgang and Stamford Hill Writing Group
Morgan Omotoye and Dalston CLR James Library Writing Group
Ngoma Bishop and Homerton Library Writing Group
Ngoma Bishop and the Afrikan Heritage Writers Group at Dalston CLR James Library
PJ Samuels and Shaded Writers and the QTIBIPOC Writing Group at Clapton Library
The event will start at 6pm sharp, with the doors open from 5.30pm.
