Hackney Black History Quest: Uncovering Hidden Stories

Join an engaging treasure hunt that brings Hackney's Black history to life through clues, riddles and puzzles.

Participants meet a host for registration, then follow routes discovering historical sites and untold stories - work in teams or go solo! The host is available if you get stuck. Collect clues at each location to build a secret password, developing problem-solving skills while learning local heritage. This outdoor activity combines community connection and cultural education, promoting wellbeing through walking-based exploration. Meet the host again at the endpoint for the group debrief and prize giving ceremony where winners will be crowned! Choose from two quests: a 90-minute Dalston quest or a 60-minute Stoke Newington quest. Perfect for families, history enthusiasts and anyone curious about Hackney's diverse heritage.

All ages (8+ recommended for children, suitable for families, teenagers, adults and seniors)

  • Dalston Quest - Saturday 1 November 11:00AM - 12:30PM or 2:00PM - 3:30PM
