Join Cultural Fashion & Arts at Hackney Museum on Saturday 25 October, 10:30am–12:30pm for a vibrant workshop led by Caribbean Cultural Lead Jennifer Laurent Smart.
This unique event combines an inspiring talk on the history and cultural significance of Creole dress and head-tying with a hands-on workshop where you’ll learn traditional and contemporary headwrap styles. Participants will have the chance to model their creations and gain a deeper understanding of Creole heritage and identity.
This workshop is for anyone interested in fashion, heritage, or cultural storytelling—whether you’re reconnecting with your Caribbean roots, or simply keen to learn something new. Expect an engaging, welcoming and creative morning of culture, history and style.
